All-Star Baseball Tournament
The Worth Athletic Association Boy’s Division is proud to announce our annual “Worth Athletic Association All-Star Baseball Tournament” for boys ages 8-14. The tournament will be held July 10th through July 19th at Worthwoods’ fields (behind Worthwoods Elementary School on 110 th & Oketo) and at the Pony field (115 th & Beloit ). Rain day -- Sunday, July 20th.

Rules / Rosters - The tournament will follow official Pony League rules. No full time travel teams will be allowed. Each player on your roster must have played on an in-house team in your league during the 2009 season. Rosters are to be a maximum of 15 players. All players must bat in rotation. Copies of birth certificates, a valid certificate of insurance and a completed roster must be submitted prior to your first game. Tournament rules will be provided at the managers meeting – date to be announced.

Format / Awards - Pool play with a three game guarantee. There will be two pools of four teams with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the playoff round. A game MVP award will be given to one player from each team (selected by the opposing manager) for each game in the tournament. Excellent trophies will be awarded for the first through third place teams.

Registration – Enclosed please find a registration form and some additional tournament information. Entries are limited so you are encouraged to send in the registration form ASAP. NOTE: Payment in full is required with the registration form, and no slots will be guaranteed without payment.

Night at the Ball Park
I have Thunderbolt tickets available. They are for Sunday, June 7th at 6:00pm. Tickets are $8. There is an incentive program to individuals and teams that sell the most tickets. The individual that sells the most will throw out the first pitch and the team that sells the most will participate in the Field of Dreams. The Field of Dreams gets the league and team name announced during the starting lineups and the players get to take the field for the National Anthem with the Thunderbolts. There will be a 50/50 Split the Pot. Last time we split over $800. Ask your manager for details on the incentive programs. Contact me (Rich Dziedzic) for tickets at 708-508-4601. Evening are best.
